Microsoft Onedrive Stuck Signing In Mac

If you’re signed into Windows 10 with the Microsoft account you use for OneDrive and OneDrive still saying not signed in.

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps:

1. Exit OneDrive (right click in the system tray)

2. Go to Control Panel > User Accounts > Credential Manager

3. Click on 'Windows Credentials' (on the right)

Store photos and docs online. Access them from any PC, Mac or phone. Create and work together on Word, Excel or PowerPoint documents. Reset OneDrive - To reset OneDrive on a Mac Quit OneDrive. (Select the cloud icon in the top tray, then select Settings Quit OneDrive.) Find OneDrive in your Applications folder. Right-click OneDrive and select Show Package Contents. Browse to the Contents Resources folder.

4. Choose the down arrow to the right of 'OneDrive Cached Credential'

5. Choose Edit, and enter your OneDrive (Microsoft Account) Username/Password.

6. Go to the start menu, and launch 'OneDrive' again

This may restore your OneDrive without resetting your local copy.

Alternatively, simply remove the 'OneDrive Cached Credential' (there is an option to do so) and let OneDrive start over. The positive side is IF you wanted to move your OneDrive to another location, you'll have the opportunity to do so during the reset. Either way, you will NOT lose your online data.

Reinstalling OneDrive can sometimes resolve sync issues and resets all OneDrive settings. OneDrive will perform a full sync after the reinstallation.

You won't lose any data by uninstalling OneDrive. Your OneDrive folder will stop syncing, but any files or data you have in OneDrive will still be available when you sign in at OneDrive.com.

  4. If you need to backup and sync your files, download the Microsoft OneDrive app from the website.

Tip: If you only need to view your OneDrive, download the OneDrive app from the Microsoft Store. If you're not sure which app you should install, read Which app do I need?

    Notes:

    • If you had chosen to sync only some folders before the reset, you will need to do that again once sync has completed. Read Choose which OneDrive folders to sync to your computer for more information.
