2010-11-12  I'm receiving a Blue Question Mark Icons in Visual C 2005 instead of the standard icon in the control panel. I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling with the same results. OS X :: Blue Box With Question Mark Inside Instead Of Pictures?

I have a imac where there are suppose to be pictures i get a blue box with a question mark inside. it happens on both safari and firefox. it is as if the web page does not recognize that picture. I tried everything redownloading Flash Quicktime and java. I went to quicktime and made sure only the quicktime box is checked. it is like my pictures don't show up and are replaced with the blue box with the question mark inside. I am not the only one with this problem apple calles it the Blue box of death. I tried everything.

I was forcibly migrated from DSL to Fiber Optic internet services (uverse) & ever since I am consistently seeing a small blue box with a white question mark in it where a picture should be. It is happening on multiple sites & it does it randomly only when I'm using my home router. If I am using another internet provider, it doesn't happen & I've checked a few forums & all of their solutions don't work for me. I was advised not to delete & reinstall Safari but I'm afraid it is only occuring at home that something is wrong with the services/router/signal because nothing else has worked. If I take it to the apple store or anything of the like, it will work so it's not as if I can 'show' someone unless they're at my home.

why I am getting a whitish color mark on my macbook screen. It is visible specially when view dark or greyish color pictures. It does not show when the laptop is closed.

My Macbook is not even a month old yet and already I'm encountering problems.
1) Safari (7.0.4) won't quit several times and I have to force shut down by pressing the power button for a few seconds.
2) I keep having problems where pictures won't load and instead a blue box with a question mark is there. (on sites like Tumblr and Facebook and others as well) (at first I thought it was the site but the sites open perfectly on other computers).

MacBook Pro :: Won't Boot (question Mark Folder) After Blue Screen On Windows Bootcamp

So, I was on windows, using bootcamp, and I was creating partitions on a pen drive with it, and then it asks me that it needs to restart to apply changes.
But then, while restarting, a blue screen occurred (**** windows).... And I forced the shutdown pressing the power key.
Then, I simply turned the MacBook on, trying to boot on my snow leopard and I got a flashing folder with a question mark on it. Now I can't access any partitions on it, if I press option key on startup I get a blank window!
I tried to reset PRAM, repair the MacOs partition using the snow leopard DVD (it shows up fine, along with windows partition and EFI partition), and I still don't get my startup disk showing up...

I turned off my macbook pro last night, then when I went to turn it on this morning, I got a flashing folder with a question mark. So I ran lion internet recovery. Disk utility came up and so I tried to repair the disk and reinstall lion osx, the problem is my mac HD isn't showing up, so I couldn't run either. I haven't turned off my mac in a few weeks, I usually just put it to sleep at night or let it go idle. How to back-up my files.

Earlier today I copied my iPhoto library file and the iPhoto prefs file to from my Mac Pro to my MacBook (using Chronosync's 'mirror' option), for a week away from home.
I've now come to using iPhoto on my MacBook, and noticed that the thumbnails for my modified pictures had reverted to thumbnails of the originals. Clicking on any of these modified images just brings up a large exclamation mark on a grey circle background.
I know that this normally means that iPhoto cannot find the relevant file in the library (usually because someone's been messing around in the library - which I haven't; I took a mirror image), but the odd thing is if I click on 'Edit', the image I'm then presented with is the modified image, so it's still there and iPhoto damn well knows it.
I've tried opening iPhoto with alt-opt to get it to rebuild everything, but it hasn't made any difference.

i just upgraded my ibook g3 hd to 20gb. i put in my tiger install disc 1 and i let it go while i was out of the room. i heard the startup chime from another room, later i went to see it with a blue screen and mouse cursor. it wouldn't do anything. then i restarted it with the install disc again, holding C down, and it booted to a grey screen which after about a minute went to the flashing folder with the ? mark.

I used a new USB flash drive this morning to transfer my pictures to. It showed it was transferring them then the screen went blue and nothing responded. I get this question mark along with a folder when starting up. I tried holding down the option key when turning on the power and then I get an internet recovery along with a globe. I click on the arrow below it and it takes maybe 15 minutes to start up. Then i get this disk utilities screen. I'm now unable to do anything. When going into disk utility, disk 0 shows with Mac OS X base system underneath it. All the clickable buttons are faded out. Is there something wrong with the hardrive? and where could i get this fixed? There isn't a warranty on it.
